EXCEPTIONAL KNOWLEDGE

GOD GIVES US EXCEPTIONAL KNOWLEDGE.[1]

Still you may miss it for lack of interest.  Many do pass over true knowledge for fleeting distractions or vain priorities.  Whether you are happy or troubled, well or afflicted; now is your opportune time to give attention to what really matters.

TRUTH IS WHAT REALLY MATTERS.[2]

Truth is the way to survival, a better life and lasting happiness despite death.  Truth educates us about good and evil, justice and injustice, wisdom and foolishness, virtue and corruption, science and superstition, eternal life and loss.  There is no time like the present to find out the truth from the Creator himself.

WHEN TRUTH DOES NOT MATTER ANYTHING GOES.[3]

When truth is not respected, people are enticed by whatever sounds good and feels good.  Evil then corrupts and afflicts whole societies.  Greed and dishonesty prevail.  Then good people cry out:  “What is this world coming too?  Is there no way to be safe and restore decency?  Who can we trust?

THE TRUTH IS YOU CAN TRUST GOD.[4]

In the Bible God calls for your trust and promises to reward your search for him.  God gave us this earth, the life-giving, life-sustaining jewel of a magnificent but inhospitable universe.  God gave us his own image distinguishing us from diverse lower life forms.  God gave us an innate knowledge of his greatness; which astonishes human reason and imagination.  God revealed the great mystery of his plan.  You can find out how glorious it is.  Open the Bible and your heart, for you can trust the God of the Bible to show you the truth of his plan for the human race.

TRUTH IS PLAIN AND SENSIBLE.[5]

This creation is not a hoax or an experiment, but God’s thoughtful design.  It makes sense that God tells his thoughts in words, because God made humans the beneficiaries of his plan.  Indeed, God promised to bless all families of the earth through Abraham.  To Abraham’s descendents God sent Moses and the prophets with his words and promises.  He anointed David king of Israel, and promised he would anoint a chosen descendent of David to establish his knowledge, rule and blessings on earth forever.  God’s chosen one is called Messiah, or Christ, which means “Anointed One”.  We confess “Jesus is the Christ”.  Thus Jesus is God’s anointed king, ultimate messenger and head of the human race.  The Christ is immensely more, for he is the only eternal Son of God who saves us from evil and despair through his cross and resurrection.  God sent his beloved Son because he loves us.  This I know because the Bible tells me so.

THE CHURCH IS HERE TO SHARE TRUTH.[6]

Recall that God’s plan is to bless all nations.  God has ensured that his truth is preserved and taught to the ends of the earth.  The church is immensely significant in God’s plan for it is the spiritual body of Christ.  Jesus administers his salvation and kingdom through his spiritual body.  Therefore, the church is not a denomination, cult or any other kind of sect.  This issue is significant, because some who claim to follow Christ add to, leave out, distort and misinterpret the truth of the Bible.  Understandably none can claim that they are free from human errors or faults.  Yet truth produces distinctive beliefs and practices.  Accordingly as God’s support and exhibition of truth, the church should welcome your questions and provide clear, reasonable answers from God’s word.

THE CHURCH EXHIBITS TRUST IN TRUTH[7]

The church trusts that she exhibits God’s truth and purpose more purely and powerfully by careful attention to his knowledge and ways.  She strives for a loving fellowship where Christ may be worshipped and served in the freedom of grace, yet without the disorder and errors that arise from controversial human traditions.  Her noble aspiration is that by restoring the Biblical traditions of the Christian faith, her simple, Biblical assemblies serve as common, universal gatherings for believers.  As ambassadors of Christ his church appeals to you to use your opportune time to give attention to what really matters:  God’s truth entrusted to Christ’s church.  Find out for yourself the truth of God’s exceptional knowledge.
